Coach Every’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will learn and play the game of 4 – Square. We will learn all the skills and tactics involved within this great playground game. An integral component to the game is the adherence to all the rules and conflict resolution. Our students learn strategies that help them referee their own games democratically and fairly.
Our Kindergarten and First Grade students will head back into the Mini-Gym to work on another round of our motor development program. Tracking and catching will be a constant focus throughout the week.
Congratulations to Kyle L. for receiving the 1st Sportsmanship Award of the year!

Coach Every's class is the name and basketball is the game, at least for grades K and 1. Kindergarten and First Grade will spend the week working on basketball skills and modified games including dribbling, shooting, passing and Around The World just to name a few. Third and Fourth Grade will participate in The President's Challenge fitness test. Third Grade will run the timed mile on Tuesday and Fourth Grade will run it on Thursday. Please make sure to have your children drink plenty of fluids the day before their scheduled run. Students are encourage to bring water bottles to school every day but especially on their mile days. Finally, Second Grade will get the opportunity to practice and learn all of the events of the President's Challenge. The Second Graders will get all the benefits of the various fitness tasks, although their scores will not count towards the test. I look forward to a great week ahead.
