Time to S.N.A.G.!

Students will participate in the S.N.A.G. golf program this week in Coach Every’s PE classes. SNAG is an acronym for (Starting New At Golf) it also refers to the Velcro targets and felt tennis balls used for the program. The putters called Rollers are made of plastic and are much larger than a normal putter. The only other club the students will be using is called the Launcher, the equivalent of a pitching wedge but it is much lighter and larger. The unit will consists of putting and chipping lessons for the younger students and our 4^th graders will add on the skills of pitching, the full swing and play out a few holes using the SNAG targets on our field. This unit is always exciting for our students and provides a great introduction to game as well as reinforcing the fundamentals of real golf. This week is sure to be a hole-in-one!
