LAX - Not The Airport
We will begin our Lacrosse also know as (LAX) unit this week. K-4th Grade students will gain experience using the Lacrosse stick, cradling, scooping and passing. 2nd - 4th grade students will also play non-contact games focused on teamwork and strategy. Did you know that the game of Lacrosse was originally played by Native Americans? We look forward to a fun week ahead.

Sunshine
Finally we have good weather on tap for the week. The dry ground, clear skies and sunshine are a welcomed site. We will finally be able to have a normal week in PE. The Third Grade mile run will be this Tuesday. Third grade students will complete the remaining components of the Presidential Fitness Challenge this week. Our first sport unit will be our kickball / softball unit. All grades will take part in this unit. Lead-up games focused on kicking and base running will be taught to our younger students and our more experienced students will play games focused on strategy and teamwork. The PE staff is so excited to see the sun, even if it is 93 degrees outside.
