Our Lacrosse unit will be postponed until next week. Coach Every’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will learn and play the game of 4 – Square. We will learn all the skills and tactics involved within this great playground game. Anticipation, reaction, footwork and tracking are just some of the skills reinforced during a 4-Square game. Another integral component to the game is the adherence to all the rules and conflict resolution. Our students learn strategies that help them referee their own games democratically and fairly.
Our Kindergarten and First Grade students will learn the basics of 4-Square, serving and returning. They will also head back into the Mini-Gym to work on another round of our motor development program. Throwing and tossing will be a constant focus throughout the week.
